In a world where our digital and physical lives are intertwined, juggling between the virtual and the real, our sense of identities becomes more and more fluid to take on various role plays. Being the first generation to experience this unique amalgamation, the question of the future persists even while having multiple existence to fall back on or to jump onto. Thus, the title, #amphibian serves as a metaphor for depicting the amphibiousness of our present lives.

The story presents itself in the form of physical frames and also as digital videos bridging the current times with possible future. By addressing and defying technological advancements and moral shortcomings, we hope to strike a balance between the extremes as we tensely plan our lives in future tense.

The specialities-

1. It’s an Augmented reality film.

2. The film is released through Instagram filters.

3. The film happens with the intervention of both physical frames and digital files.

4. Viewers become part of the film conceptually as well as in real. The film creates a sense of engagement.

5. The film uses a series of artworks, 16 frames to be precise, merging the boundaries of filmmaking, animation, and still art objects like paintings, sculptures etc.

6. Pushes the boundaries of still paintings that just hang on the wall.

7. Through animations, in the fantasy world, the film addresses the contemporary.

8. Merging motion graphical elements with the animations and with the actual video footage makes it a new type of video-making as well.

1. Scan the QR code and you will be redirected towards an Instagram filter.

2. Hold the mobile in landscape mode and Point the camera to the artwork (of the same number as the QR/filter).

3. On the left side of the frames, you can see a play/pause/reset button. If you can’t find it, please hold the mobile bit backwards. Press Play.
