I have been trying to find ways in which we can use these social media platforms as a medium for making art in our times. This hashtag did just that. Facebook became a platform for my new-age installation of my write-ups tied together with a suitable hashtag #ಕಲೆಗೊಂದು_ಭೂಮಿಕೆ (translates to ‘a foundation for art’).

As I struggled to find good art books in Kannada that explain the essence of making art considering the philosophy, psychology, technology and other things with time and space we live in, I decided to write articles myself to at least point the readers in the right direction.

These Kannada write-ups explain the nuisances of art-making and viewing in a very different manner to find value in the act. It hopes to break people’s ignorance regarding art, especially following modernism and make them find art relevant in these times. It also addresses fellow creative practitioners to make relevant art that has some inherent value.

To know more about it, one needs to know how to read Kannada, I guess…at least as long as I write the English version as well.
