“Ironica” is a video rendition of a poem-like text or say, a text-like poem “sarrak” where I had tried to merge the sounds of surroundings into a conversing poem. “Sarrak” is a part of the #hashtag book.

Beyond the limitations of the meanings associated with them, sound has the power to make us feel a certain way. Uhh! It has found its way into literature, but the insignificant sounds like ‘scratching head’ go unnoticed. It’s an effort to figure out a way to write these sounds to make them a part of literature.

But, how can we write the sound as it is without describing them? How to write the sound of a head scratch?! The process of transforming sound to text and back to sound again for the video has its challenges in handling ambiguity.

This visual poetry however tries to record the qualities of the objects in the translucent state where it has left behind its previous form to take the new form and yet, has no significant form.
